Hereby I would like to put myself forward as an community delegate for the DAO.
The delegates have been named ‘loan delegates’ at creation, but this is not the fully correct in my opinion. Delegates represent and carry a responsibility to the BSL DAO token and all it’s holders in all aspects. This goes further then the loan aspect.
I have considered applying for a delegate position in the past. I have not done so because we had applications with experience in the financial sector. Which is important as a ‘loan delegate’.
With the recent events I feel like the delegation team can be ‘revamped’ into a team with dedicated people to steer the DAO into overall success. This goes past just being a ‘loan delegate’ as said above.
With 20 years of experience in (winter) tourism, and 5 years of crypto experience I feel confident enough to be part of a delegate team that steers the Dao in the right direction.
I have experience in setting up startup companies and leading and training team members.
We may need to look at increasing the number of delegate roles, possible even some different roles in the future to ensure we can scale up when the time is ready and products released. We also need to get representation on the banksocial/Fivancial board by a delegate - see my discussion post.
Definitely would have my vote. Diversity is a good thing, you have your own set of skills that can benefit the DAO. The loan aspect is probably easy enough to get a grasp on.
As the last part you are talking about in your post does ressemble my previous proposition, I’d like to suggest to open up the subject at tonights video call on telegram. (unfortunately wont be able to join in as i’ll be traveling)
Idea is to set up a core team in association to delegates and try to define which key roles have to be identified and intregrated to move forward.
I do believe the delegates as loan approvers are one part part of the puzzle but also believe more roles are required if we want to drive this forward.
I totally approve the community manager role which believe is central.
On top of that I would like to put myself forward as well as an application designer and will be posting this in a seperate proposale.
I support you as a delegate, you have been a strong, active and genuinely valuable member of the community for as long as I can remember. I do think your nomination and these proposed changes should be separate proposals though.
@Glassstir I know we are in alignment from our Direct Conversations on TG… attached is formal charter proposal to capture the forward looking thoughts and and the design of the DAO … lookin forward to bring this to the community next week with your support
Gary I’d really appreciate your input on this proposal! [https://gov.banksocial.io/t/bsl-dao-charter/648] — it covers some of your recent comments. We’ve already gathered initial feedback from John, Michael, Glassstir, and @anon.
Regarding Scaling: There have been great discussions recently in Verified Chat with @anon, @Dejacoa and others about growing the DAO community through alternative revenue streams to make it more attractive.
Let’s continue building out the DAO Value Roadmap to ensure scalable growth, product readiness, and community impact. As they say, it’s going to take a village to grow this baby. Looking forward to your contributions and ideas!
